Metta is an active meditation where we send well wishes, or loving kindness out into the world and imagine people benefit from our good will.   It was originally taught by the Buddha.  It comes in different forms but at it’s core it about sending love to yourself and then extending that love to all beings.  

 Whenever I work with a client I offer a simple Metta Blessing:

I start with myself so that I am in a place to offer a healing session and then I bless them.  

May I be happy, may I be healthy, may I be free from suffering and May I live with ease.  

May you be happy, May you be healthy, May you be free from suffering and May you live with ease.

I sometimes repeat this meditation at the end of the session as well.   

It’s one of my favorite meditations and so I wanted to use the word Metta in naming my business and I loved the idea of sending out loving kindness and letting those vibrations make their way our into the world.
